From Jimbo: THIS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS AND MY GUYS AND I'VE DONE THIS TYPE OF STUFF

One of my brothers' co-workers did 18 months in iraq. He sent this to my brother, who forwarded it on.

Don't worry, it is totally work-safe and non violent. its no "Ken Lee", but it is funny.

T. Rex is really a Thunder Chicken

Using "soft tissue" recovered more or less through chance, this group sequenced collagen from T. rex, then used that to create an evolutionary tree. Consistent with current understanding from other approaches, T. rex groups with the birds, not lizards. Pretty cool.

We've all heard it a million times...

We've heard over and over comments like "Windows 95 = Mac '84", but this clip has an impressive test of 1991 technology (they say 1987, but the Mac is clearly a Classic II) vs. 2007 technology.

A new neighbor?

Here's a wierd one. I have a feed in my reader about "unnecessary quotation marks" (they are necessary there, believe me), and this one showed up today:

http://quotation-marks.blogspot.com/2008/04/from-corporate-cafe.html

Recognize it? I'm about 90% sure this is down in the cafe!

Here's the person's blog who submitted it: http://willbraden.wordpress.com/

Jay's "abortion art" share was a hoax.

Well, jay didn't perpetrate the hoax but the artist did.

If you missed it the first time it is here:

here's the hoax detail.

"Because the miscarriages coincide with the expected date of menstruation (the 28th day of my cycle), it remains ambiguous whether ... there was ever a fertilized ovum or not. The reality of the pregnancy, both for myself and for the audience, is a matter of reading," she wrote.
What a bitch. Too bad she gets all this free press.

Remember that email this morning from IS Security?

Remember this email this morning from IS?

You should be aware that there is an e-mail based virus from subpoena@uscourts.com with the subject "Subpoena in case #96-781-TLY" circulating on the Internet.

Yeah, its a lot more specific than that. It isn't going out to everyone... its targeted at... CEO's!

Monster cable sucks!

Who doesn't hate monster cable? They C&D'd some other place that makes RCA cables. because apparently monster owns all the patents on RCA cables. They didn't know the guy who runs/owns the company is a lawyer :) the response is hilarious.
If you expect to persuade me, you had better start making full, open and honest disclosures; I will find out the facts sooner or later in any event, but the impact upon your credibility will not be repaired. It looks like when you sent this letter, you were operating on the premise that I am not smart enough to see through your deceptions or sophisticated enough to intelligently evaluate your claims; shame on you. You are required, as a matter of legal ethics, to display good faith and professional candor in your dealings with adverse parties, and you have fallen miserably short of your ethical responsibilities.

X360F Review: XFPS - KB & Mouse on 360 - Xbox 360 Fanboy

X360F Review: XFPS - KB & Mouse on 360 - Xbox 360 Fanboy, from 2006! This is one of the only adapters that I could find. Which leads me to believe that this was the best solution given the system architecture (and it sounds like the XFPS does not fit the need).
